I am Dr Chris Skene, Consultant Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist based in Manchester. I run a clinic at the Alexandra Hospital, Cheadle for initial assessment and testing. Appointments are available to self pay patients and those with health insurance.

Pacemakers and defibrillators

I am a certified specialist in pacemaker and defibrillator ICD implant and follow up via the European Heart Rhythm Association accreditation program.

I work in the Manchester NHS Foundation Trust and Stockport NHS Trust, meaning I have access to their systems and can act as a go-between when care is spread between hospitals and healthcare systems.

For self-paying patients:

  • new patient appointments cost £270, including an ECG.

  • follow up appointments cost £200.

For insured patients, costs depend on your insurance company and any excesses in your policy.
